The "Song Scan" feature in the
Snapchat app is a feature that recognizes a song playing or surrounding sounds
and notifies the user which song it is or the name of the artist. This feature works similarly to
popular music recognition apps like "Shazam" or
"SoundHound." Snapchat's song browsing feature is available on users'
Snapchat camera screen under the name "Music". You can follow the steps below to
use this feature. Open the Snapchat app on your device and log in to your
account. Switch to the camera screen by
tapping the camera icon in the lower left corner of the home screen. In the upper right corner of the
camera screen, tap the "Music" icon, which is the sound wave icon. When the music feature is turned
on, tap the "Song Scan" button to recognize a song or sound playing
in the environment using your phone's microphone. Snapchat will recognize the song
playing and let you know what song it is or the name of the artist.
Location on Snapchat
The "Location" feature in the Snapchat app
allows users to share where they've been and see where their friends are. This
feature is a map-based functionality and users can share their location
whenever they want. You can follow the steps below to use Snapchat's
"Location" feature. Open Snapchat on your device and log in to your
account. Tap the map icon in the upper left corner of the home screen to switch
to the map screen. Adjust your location sharing settings by tapping the gear
icon next to your profile photo on the map screen. Here you can enable or
disable location sharing. When you want to share your location, Snapchat may
ask you to grant access to your location. If you allow it, your friends are
allowed to see where you are.
